What enables animals to adapt to CHANGE in their environment?

By training I am a behavioral ecologist who is also interested in eco-physiology and energetics. My research aims at understanding which behavioral and physiological responses enable animals to adapt to natural and anthropogenic changes in their environment, and to assess the consequences of these responses for health, survival and fitness.
